The Veneto Region will be present at 68th Venice International Film Festival. From August 31 to September 10, in fact, at the space at the Excelsior Hotel Veneto Region are scheduled several appointments and special events organized to enhance the "Venetian system of cinema and audiovisual" and raise awareness - through meetings with directors , press conferences and the presentation of films made in the Veneto - the activities supported by the Region in the development of projects related to cultural production and cinema.

The presence of the Region to the Venice Film Festival is also an opportunity to consolidate the project "Veneto the Ideal set", launched in 2003 with the aim of promoting the Veneto as a film set and promote venetian Film and Audiovisual professionals and caompanies. The extraordinary heritage of locations make the Veneto one of the most popular region among the masters of cinema. Veneto can also offer the technical expertise and artistic skills of a large number of professionals and companies highly valued internationally.

Among the initiatives that will animate the Veneto space, on September 3 at 11:00 will be presented the new website of the Veneto Film Commission; at 16.30 will be presented the film documentary made by the Veneto Region in collaboration with the City of Verona to promote cultural heritage sites in the Veneto region.
Highlight the presence of the Veneto Region 68.th Show will be the meeting, organized in collaboration with ANICA, The Venice Biennale and Confindustria Veneto, on September 9 at 14:30 aimed to promote the opportunities and advantages for firms that invest in the film production.

Emphasising the importance of the appointment, the Vice President and Regional Councillor for Culture Marino Zorzato focuses on collaboration between institutions, in particular on the relationship of sharing and collaboration initiated by the Veneto Region with Confindustria Veneto in the areas of culture and entertainment.

A collaboration, especially in the cinema and audiovisual production areas, has a strategic value in terms of both cultural and economic terms. "The film as a television series - concludes Zorzato - is an extraordinarily effective vehicle to promote a region and enhance aspects and peculiarities related to the territory. Support, in a shared logic system, the film production is therefore an investment in the future of the Veneto ".
